Needless to say, Twin Peaks fans were stoked when the cult classic announced that it would return in 2017. Well now fans can prepare to revisit their favourite eerie town it seems, on April 30th.
Thanks to the website Welcome to Twin Peaks, we can now use our own detective skills to deduct the date of which the TV show will return. This was sparked by a photo of a Twin Peaks 2017 calendar emerging on the site, with April 30th having the mark of the towns welcoming slogan.
This could be just fan speculation, however, the cryptic nature of the image with such an obvious clue appears to be quite promising. It also makes sense when taken into account that Showtime are dedicating the month of May to Twin Peaks. Previous rumours had suggested that the ‘revival’ would be shown at Sundance this month, however this was dismissed by co-creator Mark Frost.
Hopefully this wonderful news will be confirmed soon because after all, not all is as it seems when it comes to Twin Peaks.
The new series will star Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore, Laura Dern, Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Knepper and Balthazar Getty. They join original cast members Kyle MacLachlan, James Marshall, Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee.
