The legend that is Brian De Palma is back with his latest thriller, Domino. For most people, De Palma has at best been hit or miss during this most recent stretch of his career. I, however, still tend to gravitate towards his work. He’s one of the greatest living American directors and a new film from him should always be treated as an event. So that’s precisely what I intend to do with this.
Domino hits On Demand and limited theaters on May 31st. Call your closest friends over and throw a De Palma party. Fill your living room with sexual tension and split screens and everyone is sure to have a good time.
In a world wracked by terror and suspicion, Copenhagen police officer, Christian (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), seeks justice for his partner’s murder by an ISIS member named Imran. On the hunt for the killer, Christian and a fellow cop are unwittingly caught in a cat and mouse chase with a duplicitous CIA agent (Guy Pearce) who is using Imran as a pawn to trap other ISIS members. Soon Christian is racing against the clock – not only seeking revenge, but to save his own life.
Domino stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Carice van Houten, and Guy Pearce.
