Ever since Titan Comics announced the return of Hook Jaw, we’ve been drawn to the project like a hungry shark to a gushing leg of some unfortunate swimmer. Now to whet our appetites even more, a new retro-style cover has surfaced, courtesy of Brian Williamson.

The first instalment of the five issue mini-series – which is written by Si Spurrier (Cry Havoc) and illustrated by rising star Conor Boyle, with colors by Giulia Brusco and edited by legendary British comics editor and marine life expert artist, Steve White – will hit stories this December.

The mini-series is set to be n modern iteration of the ocean predator, which debuted in legendary British comic (and forerunner to 2000AD) Action #1 way back in the 70’s. Initially inspired by the success of Jaws, Hook Jaw was one of many Action strips so violent it was banned from the shelves upon release!
