Welcome to That’s Not Current. If you’re reading this page then chances are you want to know who we are and what we do here. Or maybe you’re a scammer aiming to rip us off. Or maybe you want to pitch a feature or advertise with us. Well, if any of these apply to you, we’re happy to report that you’ve come to the right place. Hopefully this guide will be of some assistance.

At TNC, we’re fans of pop culture. It’s that simple. We believe in covering the world of entertainment — past, present, and future — in all its wonderful forms. We’re nerds who watch too many movies, binge TV shows, read comic books, and play video games for hours on end — then passionately discuss them with like-minded friends afterwards. Here, you’ll find a group of pop culture enthusiasts who appreciate everything from prestige fare to disreputable Z-grade schlock. Don’t be surprised if you see a Stanley Kubrick career deep dive published right next to a love letter to Birdemic: Shock and Terror. That’s just how we roll.

Are we critical sometimes? Of course. However, we refuse to add any needless negativity to the world. You won’t see any 10 Worst Movie Lists here. Whenever we critique art or the industry, it’s only because we’re being honest with our audience and trying to make the world a better place in our own small way. Overall, though, this is a site that aims to inform, entertain, and converse with our audience like we would our fellow geeky chums. At the end of the day, we’re all fans.

That’s Not Current is dedicated to serving the interests of pop culture buffs, and hopefully we do that in an interesting way. Anyway, now that we’ve covered the basics, here’s a quote for you to ponder that has absolutely nothing to do with anything we just talked about: “This Hell on Earth business? Big fucking deal. I’ve got haemorrhoids.”
